Woman Arrested for Illegal Possession of Medicines in Salima

Police in Salima have arrested a 28-year-old woman, Happiness Banda, of Ngwena Village in the area of Traditional Authority Ndindi, after allegedly finding a large quantity of medicines in her home without authorization.
Salima Police spokesperson Sub-Inspector Rebecca Ndiwate said the arrest was made yesterday following a police investigation.
Ndiwate said the medicines recovered from the suspect’s home included Amoxicillin, Indomethacin, Ibuprofen, Chlorpromazine, Paracetamol, Bactrim, Diclofenac injections, and Gentamicin injections, among others.
Banda is expected to appear in court once police have completed their investigations.
