Politics at play: ESCOM stops advertising with Times Group

Information sourced by faceofmalawi indicates that Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM) has advertising one of the local giant media house, Times Group for being critical of the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) under President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika.

Times Group which comprises of Daily Times, Malawi News, Sunday Times, broadcast on Times Radio and Times TV recently has been exposing evil deeds happening at ESCOM and EGENCO.

This seems to have not gone down well with some top officials at ESCOM hence the ban. This has been revealed in a letter from Times Group signed by Managing Director Leonard Chikadya.
