Minister of Finance and Economic Development Goodall Gondwe is today celebrating his 81st birthday, faceofmalawi can reveal.
Gondwe is the oldest serving Minister under President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika and many people have on several times called for his resignation.
Speaking in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS) Gondwe said he feels proud to be part of Mutharika’s cabinet despite being old.
Gondwe was born on 1 December 1936 and is from Kayiwonanga village, Mzimba in the Northern Region of Malawi. He lived and worked in Ivory Coast and in Virginia in the United States.
