Unknown Criminals Break Into Police’s Warehouse in Lilongwe

Police in Lilongwe are on the hunt for unknown criminals who broke into Lingadzi police warehouse and went away with assorted items.

According to Inspector Munthali of Lumbadzi police sub-station, the incident occurred yesterday at around 11:20hrs.

The thugs broke in police’s warehouse and managed to go away with pharmaceutical items like, Carolight lotion, Epiderm lotion, Lemonvate cream, Betasol cream, Actif plus, Funbact and etc. They also stole one HP laptop, five bottles of spirit beer and according to police, the total value of all the stolen items is not yet known.

All the stolen items were seized after police officers, Malawi bureau of standards and Malawi pharmacy and poisons board officers conducted an exercise within the city against products which are not supposed to be on the market.

Meanwhile, police have launched an investigation that can lead to arrest of the culprits.
