Train hit two Children of the same family in Machinga

Two children are battling for their lives at Machinga District Hospital after being hit by a train in in the district on Wednesday.

The two children have been identified as Belita Laudoni, aged 10 from Chimkwezule village, and Oliver Laudoni from Kumpalira village, both from the area of Traditional Authority Sitola in Machinga.

According to information at hand, the two Children met their fate as they were trying to cross Rail Bridge along Shire River in Liwonde.

“Their decision to run through was made too late as the train was too close hence hitting them,” an eyewitness told Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS).

Meanwhile the four-year-old girl has lost one leg.
