Police hunting for a woman suspected of stealing a vehicle she hired in Lilongwe

Police in Lilongwe are hunting for a woman suspected of stealing a vehicle Nissan Note belonging Jonathan Zulu of Felanji Village Traditional Authority Mtwalo in Mzimba.

According to police report made available to faceofmalawi, the woman identified who introduced herself as Thoko on August 11, 2018 hired the said vehicle for two days.

The woman then escaped with the said vehicle and her whereabouts is not known at the moment.

“The vehicle was hired by a certain girl who introduced herself as Thoko hails from Area 43 Lilongwe for 2 days but her whereabout together with the vehicle not known.

“If found detain her and the M/Vehicle then inform Anti-Motor Vehicle Theft Unit Lilongwe for Identification and collection,” read in part the statement.

Meanwhile police have launched a manhunt.
