MCP Director of Recruitment Hellen Chabunya resigns

Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Director of Recruitment Hellen Chabunya has resigned from her position and she has also withdrawn her membership from the party with immediate effect.

Chabunya’s resignation comes barely two weeks after the resignation of MCP’s Second Secretary General Salim Bagus who has since joined the ruling Democratic Progressive party (DPP).

According to information at hand, Chabunya has joined the newly registered United Transformation Movement led by the State Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima.

Chabunya said she is moved with the vision of the Vice President hence joining UTM.

She once served as head of political and Public Affairs at British High Commissioner before joining active politics.
