MP Bisnowaty withdraws from DPP primaries

Lilongwe City Centre Constituency Member of Parliament David Bisnowaty has pulled out of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) primary elections.

Bisnowaty has not said whether he will stand as an independent or not.

This is coming at a time when DPP leadership is planning to field Limbani Kalirani (Tay Grin) in the constituency.

“This is to inform you that I will not contest for the forthcoming DPP primaries in the Lilongwe City Centre Constituency. I wish the DPP aspirants all the best and may the best candidate win,” reads in part the letter addressed to DPP Regional Governor for Central Region Binton Kutsaila.

He said he will reveal his political future in few days to come.

Meanwhile DPP spokesperson Nicholas Dausi is yet to comment on the matter.
