Zambia Police Arrests 28-year-old Woman for Allegedly Chopping Ex-husband Toes

ZAMBIA – Ndola Woman Slices off Ex-Hubby’s Toes in Child Maintenance Dispute.

Police in Ndola have arrested a 28 year old woman for allegedly chopping her ex-husband’s toes for allegedly failing to support their three children.

Copperbelt Police Chief Charity Katanga said the two met in town where the woman accused her ex-husband of not supporting their three children under her custody.

Katanga said the woman identified as Evelyn Nachalwe, of Itawa, produced an exe from her hand bag and chopped off two toes from her ex-husband’s feet.

The ex-husband has been identified as Batan Banda, aged 35 who is divorced from his Nachalwe.

The incident happened on 2nd January, 2018 near Chemopharm store in Ndola Town Centre.

Nachalwe set up a meeting with Batan whom she accused of not supporting their three children from their dissolved marriage.

The suspect handed herself to the police after committing the offence.

Katanga said police are keeping the axe which will be used as exhibit.
