Man hacked in the head for dating friend’s wife

A 48-year-old man is battling for life at Kasungu district hospital after a polygamous man allegedly hacked him in the head using an axe on suspicion that he was dating his second wife.
Kasungu police spokesperson Harry Namwaza confirmed of the development in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS).
Namwaza identified the victim as Shadreck Chitembeya from Mtapsa village in the area of chief Wimbe in the district.
It is alleged that the victim has been going out Mr. Paul Phiri’s second wife for some time now and this week the victim promised to spend a night with Phiri’s wife since the owner planned to spend the night to his first wife.
Phiri got the news and he rescinded his decision of spending a night to his first wife.
When Chitembeya knocked the door Phiri walk up and opened the door and hit the victim in the head with an axe.
Meanwhile, the suspect Mr Paul Phiri has been arrested for alleged unlawful wounding.
