UP aspirant councilor for Namiyango Ward for youth, women development

By Robert Kumwenda

Umodzi Party (UP) aspirant councilor for Namiyango Ward Frank Queresma Mkwanda in Blantyre has said that his priorities are to promote youth and women if elected as councilor come May 2019.

He said he will help the youth through loans which they will get in groups saying that women will also be assisted by loans through village banks.

“I will introduce youth clubs in all the areas of seven chiefs in the ward saying that the aim is to make them beasy so that they should not indulge themselves in risky behavior. There will be also other sporting activities which some l has already started like football and netball,” he said.

He said he wants football and netball should be played throughout the five years not only during campaign when elections are close.

Mkwanda said that he will also ensure that there should be a clinic at Mondiwa village because pregnant women are walking a distance of about 15 kilometers to get healthy services at Bangwe clinic.

He said his reason of joining UP is because of the vision of the leadership of the party which is similar to his vision of promoting youth and women.

The 27 year old Mkwanda has therefore urged people in the country to rally behind Professor John Chisi because he is the only person who has a good vision for Malawi.
