CSOs to hold demonstrations on March 27

The Human Rights Defenders Coalition (HRDC) has announced that the Civil Society will hold Demonstrations against social ills happening in the country on March 27, 2019.

Addressing journalists in Lilongwe on Sunday, HRDC Regional Chair for the Centre, Billy Mayaya, said among other things, the demonstrations have been organised to condemn rampant corruption in the country, killings and abductions of people with albinism as well as the use of Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) by Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) gurus to their interest.

HRDC officials have also said they have endorsed vigils that have been slated for March 3, 2019 by the Association of People with Albinism (Apam) on matters surrounding the killings of people with albinism in the country.
