Chisi calls for Dausi resignation over careless remarks on albino killings

Umodzi Party(UP) president Professor John Chisi has asked the Minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security Nicholas Dausi to resign over the remarks he made that some of the people that are behind the killing of albinos are their own relatives.

He said this shows that something is not right in this country saying the issue requires the police and Malawi Defence Force and other security agencies to intervene.

“This is time for Malawians to make a decision as the country approaches May elections because what the minister said is very insensitive,” he said.

The UP leader has since urged the leadership of this country not to stick with people that are tarnishing the image of the government because this will make people lose confidence in them and they may lose the elections.

He said Malawians should think wisely and choose people that have good vision for this country and those people are in Umodzi Party.

Chisi has therefore urged the police to know that they have a responsibility to look after everyone in this country.
