Crocodile kills man in Dedza

DEDZA – A 45 year Apenda Dakishoni has died after a crocodile attacked him on 04 March, 2019 in Diamphwe river where he went to harvest along the river.

According to Police Public Relations Officer for Dedza Sub-inspector Edward Kabango, a search was conducted from the day he went missing and was found with a broken shoulder.

Kabango said the Postmortem results showed that the deceased died due to excess loss of blood.

Dakishoni was coming from Kambumi village in the area of Traditional Authority Chilikumwendo in Dedza.

Meanwhile police is advising people to avoid going to places where there are crocodiles to avoid similar attacks
