Man missing after crocodile attack

A 24-year-old man has gone missing in Chikwawa after being attacked by a crocodile yesterday (Monday) morning.

Lymon Moffat, from Kaphiri village under Traditional Authority Maseya, was fishing with his six friends when he was taken by a crocodile that launched from underwater.

The incident occurred at Block 521 Dam within a estate canefield.

Soon after the attack, the reptile vanished with Moffat, leaving his friends terrified.

Extensive searches in and around the area are underway.

Police warn local fishermen to stay away from crocodile-infested rivers to avoid crocodile attacks.
