Govt promotes 20,000 primary, secondary school teachers

Government, through the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, has promoted 20,210 teachers with effect from 2 April 2019.

This has been disclosed in a statement jointly signed by Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Education Justin Saidi and Secretary in the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development Charles Kalambo made available to faceofmalawi.

According to the statement, 15,491 primary teachers and 4,719 secondary school teachers have been promoted to various grades.

“Names of those promoted will be found at Education Division Managers and District Education Managers offices. Offer letters will be sent to respective teachers in due course,” reads in part the statement.
