BT Police Claim Stolen Goods, Arrest 5 People During Sweeping Exercise

Blantyre Police on 11th April, 2019 conducted sweeping exercise between 03:00 to 07:30 hours due to series of car opening theft which has been happening in Blantyre City.

Police managed to claim various goods like Laptops, Tvs, Projectors, Recorders and other electronic devices.

The Sweeping Crew managed to arrest the following suspects Steve Mtambo, 29 Years from Chitao, T/A Nkhumba Phalombe District,
Ramsek Sauzande, 29 years old from Namasalima, T/a Mjema Mulanje District, Rizeno Orlando from Kuthiwo, T/a Kumtaja Blantyre and Richard Manase, 27 years from Makezi, T/a Nsamala Balaka District.

Upon serching the suspect’s houses, 10 different car keys were recovered and sharp objects material which they uses to open peoples vehicle in various car-parks and some of recovered properties have been positively identified by Me. Johnson Lutho Zimba, 51 years from Chakhaza Village, T/a Mzukuzuku in Mzimba.

All the suspects will appear before court of Law soon.
