Zambia Police officer commits suicide by shooting himself using AK 47

ZAMBIA- Zambia North Western Police Commissioner Hamachila Namachila has confirmed the death of a police constable Henry Zulu with a self inflected gun shot wound today. (03 May, 2019)

“The deceased was stationed at Solwezi Bust Terminus Police Post where the officer shot himself using an AK47 Rifle with all the 10 rounds of ammunition in the magazine emptied.” Namachila said

The 32-year old officer was found with the AK47 rifle between his legs.

His body has been deposited at the Solwezi General Hospital Mortuary.

The bullet entered the neck and came out through the forehead damaging his skull and brain. He died on the spot.

Police officers have become notorious with violent suicides with a Lusaka based cop recently killing two people before taking his own life with a gun.
