The Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) chairperson Jane Ansah says the commission is investigating its employee who allegedly transfered the name of Vice President Saulos Chilima to Chiteko Polling Station at Chizumulu Island in Likoma District from St Thomas Polling Station in Lilongwe.

Early this morning, Chilima, who is also UTM presidential candidate, had to call the commission to report his missing name from the voters roll at St Thomas where he registered together with his wife Mary. Surprisingly, his wife’s name was available. Later, MEC cleared him to cast his vote.
