The charges which Bobi Wine has denied relate to an incident last year when the President’s convoy was stoned by Bobi Wine’s supporters.

BBC reports that the singer is already facing treason charge over the alleged incident and he;’s currently out on bail.

If convicted, he, along with 35 others charged with him, could face a sentence of up to life imprisonment.

The 37-year-old musician has been an MP for two years. He portrays himself as a champion of the poor, and sings about social justice and democracy.

He says the charges are all politically motivated to undermine his presidential ambitions.
