The meeting planned by the Attorney General (AG) Kalekeni Kaphale, to hold talks with Anti-Ansah demonstration organizers Human Defenders Coalition (HRDC) has ended in dead rocks as HRDC is demanding that Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) should uplift the injunction they placed against the planned protests.

MRA took an injunction restraining HRDC from holding demonstrations which are scheduled to seal the boarders and airports across the country.

Director of Corporrate Affairs at MRA Steven Kapoloma confirmed the development, saying the institution is worried that property worth huge sums of money is likely to be destroyed during the demonstrations.

The High Court in Blantyre is expected to hear the case on Thursday.

The first meeting arranged by the AG went void as the key players on the matter did not show up saying they were sympanthising with HRDC chairperson Timothy Mtambo whose house was ptrol bombed by the suspected Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) cadets.

The office of the AG arranged the meeting to discuss ways of preventing violence during demonstrations.
