Stolen Vehicle recovered in Mzimba

Police in Mzimba have recovered a Toyota Landcruiser registration number MG 793Z belonging to Nkhata Bay District Council.

The vehicle was stolen at Engalaweni in Mzimba on Saturday.

Mzimba Police Spokesperson Sub-Inspector Peter Botha confirmed of the development in a statement made available to faceofmalawi.

According to Botha, the driver of the vehicle, Mr Ganizani Makungu, went to Mzimba to attend a tombstone unveiling ceremony and later parked the behind his house.

Later at around 10 P. M. he discovered that the vehicle was missing.

Police found the vehicle abandoned along Mjinge – Edingeni road apparently after running out of fuel.
