
Angry people blocks road at Nsundwe in protest against Mutharika’s rally in Lilongwe

Angry people have blocked the road at Nsundwe area in the capital Lilongwe protesting against President Peter Mutharika’s decision to hold a political rally at Kawale Primary School today.
The angry people chased a Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) vehicle which was seen picking up party supporters travelling to the rally.
The angry people then blocked the road with stones and burning tyres and some were held chanting anti-Mutharika songs.
Malawi Defence Force (MDF) soldiers invaded the area and chased all the angry people and cleared the road.
Meanwhile tension is still high in the area.
