Second suspected thief torched in Mozambique dies at KCH

The second suspect who had been set on fire by an angry mob after being caught stealing on the Mozambican side of the M1 Road at Biriwiri in Ntcheu District, has died.

Ntcheu Police publicist, Hastings Chigaru has confirmed that 32-year-old John Alick died in the morning hours of Thursday.

The victim was rushed to Kamuzu Central Hospital earlier for medical attention.

Alick and another victim who died on the spot were caught red handed stealing in a Mozambican village bordering Ntcheu District.

The angry mob then set the two on fire.

Meanwhile the Malawi government through its spokesperson Mark Botomani is yet to comment on the matter.
