The Women Legal Resources Centre (WOLREC) calls on President Peter Mutharika to institute an inquiry into incidents of sexual harassment allegedly perpetrated by police officers at Nsundwe in Lilongwe.

A grouping of non-governmental organizations, the NGO Gender Coordination Network has released a report which reveals that the police invaded Nsundwe on the 8th of this month where it is believed they sexually harassed some women.

It indicates that among the victims are a newly wedded woman and a school girl.

WORLEC Executive Director Maggie Kathewera Banda describes this as inhumane and discredits the law enforcers.
