Ulendo Airlink speaks out on plane crash in Likoma Island

Ulendo Airlink has commented on the plane crash that happened this morning at Likoma Island injuring two officials from Egenco.

While confirming of the accident, Ulendo Airlink has refuted rumours that the two officials from Egenco namely Lyton Chauwa Operations Engineer and Public Relations Officer Mr. Moses Gwaza sustained injuries after the accident.

“Ulendo Airlink wishes to inform its valued customers that and the general public that at 10:30am this morning, its Cessna C210 aircraft carrying 2 passengers from Lilongwe overshot the runway at Likoma Island.

None of the passengers sustained any injuries and the pilot was taken to the Likoma Island Hospital for medical assessment after experiencing a minor ahead abrasion. He has since been discharged,” reads in part the statement.

The company says it is yet to establish the cause of the accident.
