A grouping against the erection of the Mahatma Ghandi statue in Malawi have postponed the planned vigils against the development.

However, the first of November has been set as the new date for the vigils.

The grouping stopped Malawi government from erecting the statue near Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre on the grounds that Ghandi was a racist.
