Rains disrupt voting at Kavizinde Polling Station in Kasungu

Rain has disrupted the voting process at Kavizinde Polling Station, forcing the officers to temporarily use classrooms for voting.

Slightly over 60 people have voted out of 2211 registered voters.

MEC is conducting by-elections in Matenje Ward in Kasungu North West Constituency.

The local government by-election in the ward follows the death of councillor Alick Kambani Zithe.

Meanwhile reports show that there is low turnout of voters.
