A 34 – year –old woman Mercy Wambui Mwaura on Tuesday was charged before the Makadara Law Court with causing grievous bodily harm on her neighbor Auma.
Reports say that Auma was passing near Wambuis shop on her way to another shop. When Mwaura, saw her passing she asked her about her money and Auma said she did not have the money yet.
This did not go well with Mwaura who later followed Auma to her house where she started assaulting her and knocked off her two teeth for failure to repay a Sh30 debt.
Auma was rescued by neighbors and was rushed to a nearby clinic where she treated as an outpatient before reporting the matter to police.
The accused denied the charges before Chief Magistrate Heston Nyaga and was released on a cash bail of sh30, 000.
Another hearing of the case will start from March 18, 2020.
