Chakwera’s lawyer will not cross examine Mutharika’s second witness

Malawi Congress Party (MCP) lead counsel Modecai Msiska has shunned cross examining President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika’s second witness Bob Chimkango in the ongoing Presidential polls case, Faceofmalawi can reveal.
This was disclosed just after lawyer representing United Tranformation Movement (UTM) President Dr. Saulos Chilima finished cross examining Chimkango this morning.
Msiska told the court his team will just adopt the cross examination questions asked by UTM lawyers.
The court has meanwhile adjourned to 2 pm as lawyers representing DPP candidate Peter Mutharika in the case say they are not ready to re-examine their witness Bob Chimkango.
