Chaos in Kasungu as angry mob loot shops of Burundians

Commotion has erupted in Kasungu following the mysterious death of the 5-year-old girl suspected to have been killed by dogs of a Burundi national.

According to an eyewitness who confided to this publication, a 5 year old girl went missing on Monday and her body was discovered behind the Burundian’s house this morning.

“A Burundian national had 7 dogs which has killed a 5 year girl. The girl went missing yesterday and her body was discovered behind the Burundian’s house this morning and the dogs belonging to him were seen eating the deceased body,” said Ster’marie Grant.

The development did not please the community who ganged up and started looting shops belonging to Burundian nationals.

The police have since been deployed to the area and are now firing teargas to disperse the angry community.
