Collapsing wall injures 4 people in Dowa

Four children of the same family are battling for their lives at Mponela Rural Hospital after being hit by wet wall which collapsed on Tuesday night of February 25, 2020 at Sambani village, Senior Chief Dzoole in Dowa.

According to Gibson Chikuse 55, a father to the victims told police that prior to the incident, the area experienced heavy rains. The victims who were sharing the same room were fast asleep before the disaster.

During mid-night, a wet wall fell on them causing various degrees of injuries a thing which prompted them to invite the police for assistance.

The police rushed with the victims to Mponela Rural Hospital where they are receiving treatment.

Meanwhile the police are appealing to community members mainly in-times of natural disasters to assist each other so as to minimize the loss or injuries.

The four, Bezayi 15, Rosemary 11, Anneti 7, and Happiness 14, all being learners of Miwale full primary School come from Sambani Village in the area of Senior Chief Dzoole in Dowa.
