Chikwawa and Nsanje youths want eqaul share in MEDEF loans

Young people in Nsanje and Chikwawa have asked President Peter Mutharika to consider them in the newly launched 8 billion kwacha loan fund, saying the youths in the lowershire are desperate to achieve economic self reliance.

Representatives for the youths John Alufandika of Katunga area in Chikwawa and Moses Jackson of Malemia area in Nsanje said that the president should make sure that the loan targets every youth regardless of political background.

Youths in Chikwawa and Nsanje are hopeful that the loan has the ability to change lives of the youth economically.

Jackson has since asked those responsible to make sure that deserving youths benefit.

“Here in Nsanje, I have not heard of any youth benefiting from such programs. I believe this time around, we will be targeted,” said Jackson.

President Peter Mutharika told the nation a few days ago that the loan is for every Malawian.
