Refugee Arrested for Threatening WFP Officials in Dowa

Police in Dowa have arrested a refugee at Dzaleka Refugee camp over a letter written to threaten World Food Program (WFP) officials.

Dowa police spokesperson Sub-inspector Gladson M’bumpha confirmed the arrest of a 26 year old Raphael Ndabaga.

According to reports the refugees are accusing WFP officials of delaying in giving them their monthly stipends and food rations from Wednesday.

WFP officials said the delay to the collection process of bank accounts.

M’bumpha however, added that more arrests are yet to be be executed as investigations are underway.
