MCP-UTM joint media briefing shifted to Tuesday

The main opposition Malawi Congress Party (MCP) and its bedfellow United Transformation Movement (UTM) have canceled the press briefing scheduled for today in the capital Lilongwe.

Although the reason for the cancellation is not known, the briefing has been shifted to Tuesday at Crossroads Hotel.

This has been confirmed in a short statement made available to Faceofmalawi reporter.

“This is to inform you that the UTM/MCP media briefing which was scheduled to take place today 23 March 2020 from 3:00pm has been shifted to Tuesday March 24, 2020 at 10:00am,” reads in part the statement.

MCP and UTM will have one Presidential candidate in the forthcoming Presidential polls and the two parties are yet to disclose the torchbearer.
