A Zambian man identified as George Bester has been summoned by police for beating his child on the allegations that he did not perform well in school.
In a video gone viral on social media platform, Facebook, is showing Bester beating his son, attracting different views and opinion from the platform’s users.
Other people, described the conduct by Bester as heartless saying the son did not deserve such treatment even though he failed.
Following criticism by people, Zambian police has taken a move on the matter as it has called Bester for questioning over the matter.
In a statement issued today seen by this publication, the Zambian police requested the presence of Bester to the Child protection unit offices.
“You are kindly requested to come to the Child Protection unit Offices at the Ministry of Community Development,” reads part of the statement.
Meanwhile the call has caused stir on social media platforms as people are arguing that no one how should be telling people how to raise their children.
Others are condemning the wife for recording the video of her husband teaching their son a lesson which has now landed him into mess.
