Supreme Court says Mutharika’s grounds of appeal extremely confrontational, unwarranted

The Supreme Court of Appeal has questioned some of the grounds of appeal by President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika in the Presidential polls case describing them as extremely confrontational and unwarranted.

The court says Mutharika also accuses the court of bias on some grounds and the court cautions against unwarranted allegations against courts.
The court says some grounds are fictitious and embarrassing.

The court also says that some of the grounds by Mutharika should have been made by Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC).

The court says some of the grounds by MEC doesn’t stand its test but court has found it imperative to hear the substantial issues without dismissing the case on technicalities.
