Truck driver tests positive to COVID-19 in Lilongwe

Malawi has recorded another case of COVID-19 bringing the total to 72 positive cases from 71 cases.

Minister of Health and Population Jappie Mhango disclosed this today during a media briefing held in Mzuzu.

According to Mhango, the latest case of a 37 year old man from area 25 in Lilongwe a truck driver who returned home from Mozambique on May 7.

Mhango said it is pleasing to note that the numbers of recoveries are also increasing tremendously which stands at 27.

The Minister has since asked members of the community to strictly observe high levels of hygiene including regular hand washing and avoiding over clouded places as a measure of containing the disease.
