Information reaching Faceofmalawi indicates that a vehicle on President Peter Mutharika’s convoy has hit to death a pedestrian at Bwengu in Rumphi District.
The deceased who died on the spot has been identified as Benard Nyasulu.
The incident has resulted into commotion as angry mob has blocked the M1 road at Bwengu Trading Centre burning tree branches.
Mutharika is currently holding a final campaign rally at Rumphi District ahead of the fresh Presidential polls on Tuesday next week.
