Malawi Defence Force solders have apprehended Fredokiss Kalua, and two others at Chiweta in Rumphi for allegedly issuing handouts to prospective voters.
Fred, son to MP for the area Kamlepo Kalua and his two friends have since been taken to Chitimba police.
In an interview, Kamlepo Kalua said he could not confirm or deny the matter, as he was following up on the same.
