Kainja obtains injunction against his appointment as Deputy Ambassador to Zimbabwe

Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that Malawi Police Service Commissioner of Responsible for Research Dr. George Kainja has obtained an injunction restraining his appointment as Deputy Ambassador to Zimbabwe by the outgoing President Peter Mutharika.

Mutharika recently removed from his position and offered him a new post as Deputy Ambassador to Zimbabwe.

The injunction was obtained on Thursday through the Lilongwe High Court, according to a file seen by this publication.

“It is hereby ordered the defendant by themselves, their servants, agents or whosoever acting are restrained from effecting the appointment of the claimant as Malawi’s Deputy High Commissioner to Zimbabwe or any decision incidental thereto pending determination of the main matter or a further order of the court.”
