Thom Mpinganjira’s bribery case to commence today

The bribery case involving well-known business man Thomson Mpinganjira is expected to commence today at the High Court in the commercial capital Blantyre.

Mpinganjira was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau earlier this year for attempting to bribe the Judges in the Presidential case so that the ruling should favour former President Peter Mutharika.

The Business tycoon was granted bail at the mid of the night the same day he was arrested, attracting public outcry.

The development forced ACB to move in again and re-arrest Mpinganjira.

The case has since been moved from the Resident Magistrate Court to the High Court in Blantyre.

More details to follow.
