Officials at Blantyre District Health Office (DHO) have expressed worry over the continued rise of Covid-19 infections among people in the district.
Director of Health and Social Services Dr. Gift Kawalazira says Blantyre district has seen a rise in coronavirus cases this winter.
As of Wednesday this week, Kawalazira says the district had recorded 666 Covid-19 cases, 19 deaths and 200 recoveries.
Kawalazira also attributed the rise in Covid-19 cases to the winter cold saying the situation could improve come August this year.
