Airtel registers 2.7 million customer growth

The population of mobile phone users continues to grow in Malawi as one of the mobile phone service providers Airtel says it has registered a 2.7 million customer base growth.

The company has in the ending year been running different promotions in a bid to increase their customers.

Director for Airtel money Andrew Santhe said the customer growth is a clear indication that a lot of people in the country are now embracing modern communication technology of using cell phones.

Speaking to the media Santhe said they are expecting the economic landscape to stabilize come next year hence their expectation for more growth.
