Pakistan, Somali Nationals Denied Entry in Malawi

On Monday, November 17th 2020 Immigration Officers at Kamuzu International Airport denied entry to 5 Pakistan and 3 Somali nationals for attempting to enter the country without valid visa.

The foreign nationals boarded Ethiopian Airlines flight number ET876 from Addis Ababa to Lilongwe Kamuzu International Airport.

The 5 Pakistanis were sent back on the same plane back to their country while the Somali nationals have been detained waiting for their return flight on Friday November 20th 2020.

The 5 Pakistani nationals are; Assan Ullah, Ahmed Hamza, Gulraiz Azeem, Shahzad Ammir and Akhter Saleem, and the 3 Somali nationals are; Ibrahim Mohamud, Ambiyo Mohamud and Eyni Abdalla.

The Department of Immigration and Citizenship Services advises all foreign nationals intending to visit Malawi to apply for a Malawi Visa online in advance, since currently no visa is issued on arrival.
