Man Dies After Taking Kachasu On Empty Stomach

A 40-year-old man is reported to have died after taking locally distilled spirits popularly known as Kachasu on an empty stomach in Chiradzulu district.

The deceased has been identified as Christopher Billiat from Matope village in the area of Traditional Authority (T/A) Nkalo in the district.

According to reports the incident happened after Billiat received money from the piece work he did of unpacking bags of fertilizer at Matope Market.

After he went home, it is sad that Billiat refused to take meal and left for the drinking joint and was later found dead inside a house.

Postmortem reports have shown that Billiat died from Hypoglycemia a condition that occurs when one takes beer on an empty stomach.
