Zomba vendors add an extra MK1 Million to resignation letter bounty

Zomba Vendors have added an extra one million Kwacha on top of the 2 million Kwacha President Joyce Banda announced that she reward anyone who will lead to naming of the person(s) who authored a “fake” resignation letter purportedly to have been authored by the President. Announcing the top up, the vendors said they decided to do this to express their concern against the release of the purported letter.
“We are against what this person did…lying that our President had resigned. He must face the law,” said Ayatu Chidothi, Chairperson for Zomba Vendors Union.
The vendors who have contributed the money are from Zomba central, Chinamwali, Mpondabwino and Mpunga markets.
