Zambian man electrocuted after a failed attempt to steal transformer oil (Photos)

ZAMBIA – The body of an unidentified man hangs lifeless on an electricity pole in Lusaka’s Kabanana Compound after being electrocuted as he attempted to access transformer oil.

The man was found by neighbours at the ZESCO power line who believe he was trying to steal from the transformer when he was electrocuted in the process.

The Lusaka police have thus taken up investigation into the matter, the police spokesperson Esther Katongo made a statement

“We can confirm that we are investigating a case of inquest following the death of an unknown man, the deceased was wearing a black sneakers, black jean and a grey top and was declared dead on scene by paramedics.”
