President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has appointed the outgoing Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Director General Reyneck Matemba as new Solicitor general and secretary for justice.
Matemba has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
The development follows the expiry of his contract at ACB on December 2, 2020 and his refusal to renew the contract.
Matemba was on a month to month contract.
Meanwhile it is not known as to who will replace Matemba at ACB.
Matemba was appointed as ACB Director General by former President Arthur Peter Mutharika three years ago.
