29 year old man Dalirani Fulutuma has killed himself at Maone Housing in Limbe, Blantyre few days after he was diagnosed with Covid-19.
Limbe Police Publicist Patrick Mussa confirmed of the development.
According to Mussa, Dalirani went for a Covd-19 test on January 13, 2021 and the results came in positive on the following day.
It is reported that the results did not please him ad resorted to take his own life despite that he was recovering.
On January, 19, 2021, Dalirani was found dead hanging to the toilet roof using a necktie.
So far Malawi has registered over 13000 Coronavirus cases with half of them recovered from the virus.
Meanwhile, government has gazzeted new Covid-19 guidelines of which some including mandatory wearing of face masks and reduced number of people gathering to 50 from initial 100.
